Arte Venezia

SaNTa CRoCe   by  Nacasona

Santa Croce is a small Venice district but very interesting for its architecture. The buildings keep the complete history of the city inside the stones and today we can read from outside that Gothic and Byzantine style were very influent in Art.

Santa Maria Mater Domini is one of the last squares where you still can find the original crosses that gave the name to the district. It's also curious to see sometimes gothic and byzantine windows with the family emblems.
